Institute for Atmospheric and Climate Science - IACETH Atmospheric Physics Lab Work Evaporation Abstract In the first part of this experiment, the relationship between wind speed and evaporation is investigated. We measure the evaporation under idealized conditions using a small wind tunnel. We then compare our results from the experiment with calculated values for the evaporation over the sea. In the second part of the experiment, we have a look at the wind chill effect. We demonstrate the influence of different wind velocities on the cooling rate.
